At Bootyman Print & Packaging, it's about more than ink on paper -- it's about legacy, innovation, and the unrelenting pursuit of excellence. Few people embody this better than Operations Director Gavin Green, who has climbed the ranks from the shop floor to the boardroom.
Highlights
・The Komori Lithrone G37 press enables faster makereadies and improved color control, which is ideal for Bootyman's fast-paced food packaging operations.
・The press installation, timed with Bootyman's facility upgrade, represents a scalable investment that enhances reliability and positions the company for future expansion.
"I've worked in every department," says Green. "Every day brings new challenges, and that's what keeps it exciting. We're a fast-paced operation, and I love working closely with our long-standing clients to make miracles happen -- especially when it comes to lead times."
A Story of Growth and Adaptability
From its beginnings as a commercial printer, Bootyman has evolved into a major player in the packaging sector. After a strategic move into wet glue labels, followed by broader packaging applications, the company now offers a comprehensive portfolio -- from cartons and sleeves to litho and flexo labels, with a strong focus on the food sector.
The recent partnership with its sister company Oriel has taken Bootyman's capabilities to the next level. "We've now moved into a modern facility of about 3,250m², and by joining forces with Oriel, renowned for their UV litho trade printing, we've significantly expanded our print and finishing options," Green explains. "From FMCG to luxury drinks and cosmetics, we now cover the full spectrum."
This collaboration has also been key in overcoming challenges that come with fast-changing market demands. By pooling expertise, equipment, and infrastructure, the companies have created a future-proof setup that allows them to adapt with speed and precision.
Investing in the Future with Komori
As part of their recent growth, Bootyman installed 6 color Lithrone G37 with coater press -- a move that's already paying dividends.
"The new Lithrone G37 offers faster makereadies and greater color control," Green notes. "It's an ideal fit for the fast-paced food packaging market."
The larger sheet size of the press has also brought real efficiency gains. "We can now get at least 20% more labels on larger sheets," he adds. "This means we're producing more sheets efficiently on the production floor, and the jobs are now much more consistent."
The timing was ideal. The press installation coincided with the company's relocation to a new facility. "Our previous presses gave us years of reliable service, but they were due for an overhaul. This upgrade has helped us take a big step forward in performance and reliability."
For Bootyman, the Komori installation wasn't just a technical upgrade -- it was a strategic investment in a cost-effective, scalable future. With improved consistency and output, the team is better equipped to manage short lead times without compromising on quality.
Looking ahead, Bootyman also sees strong potential in KP-Connect. Once integrated with their own MIS system and fed with production data over time, it will deliver greater visibility and decision-making power through real-time analytics and shop floor data capture.
End-to-End Solutions with Speed and Quality
What sets Bootyman apart isn't just its equipment or facilities -- it's the culture. Both Bootyman and Oriel are AA-grade BRCGS audited, reflecting their shared commitment to quality. The companies offer conventional and UV litho printing, in-house foiling, die cutting, gluing, and flexo reel printing.
"Our speed to market is undoubtedly one of our greatest strengths," says Green. "We know how to handle the demands of the fast-moving retail food market, and we offer a level of reliability that gives customers real peace of mind."
Vision for the Future
Bootyman is committed to continued growth and innovation. Over the next five years, the company plans to increase its turnover by 50%, introduce additional shifts across all machinery, and expand its facility by a further 25%.
"This investment is about building capacity, yes -- but also building smarter," Green explains. "By combining better equipment, better data, and our combined team expertise, we're laying the groundwork for sustainable, long-term growth. We want to be the go-to partner not just for high-quality printing, but for reliability, responsiveness, and innovation at every stage of the packaging journey."
In an industry where agility, speed, and quality are paramount, Bootyman Print & Packaging is setting a new benchmark -- one that's future-ready, customer-focused, and built to last.
