Komori People is a feature series showcasing the people of Komori and the passion they bring to their work. Through stories from across the company, we explore how employees create value for customers and society, while bringing Komori's Purpose, "Delivering Kando "beyond expectations" by contributing to society with print technology" to life through their everyday work.

Supporting Customers Every Step of the Way

I am responsible for supporting the sales of digital printing systems and post-press equipment, assisting customers with subsidy applications, and planning content such as email newsletters.
My work involves visiting customers mainly in the western Japan regions to introduce products, help prepare business plans required for subsidy applications, and support various application procedures. Rather than simply explaining products or government subsidy programs, I believe it is important to work alongside customers, helping them identify challenges and explore solutions so they can move forward with confidence.

Helping Turn Investment Plans into Reality

When supporting subsidy applications, I work closely with customers to gather the necessary information and documentation, helping them prepare business plans and guiding them throughout the application process.
Because the outcome of a subsidy application can have a significant impact on a customer's investment plans, the responsibility is considerable, and there is always some uncertainty until the results are announced. However, hearing news that an application has been approved is incredibly rewarding. It is especially gratifying when customers tell me that my explanations were easy to understand or my support helped them successfully complete the process.
One project stands out in particular. It was the first time I supported a customer in preparing a business plan, and after the subsidy was approved, the customer invited me to the startup ceremony for their newly installed equipment. Seeing them successfully invest in new technology and use it to expand their business gave me a great sense of accomplishment.

Turning Uncertainty into Confidence

What I value most when supporting subsidy application is understanding each customers' concerns and questions.
I always strive to work alongside customers, helping them identify challenges and explore solutions so that they can approach both their investment plans and the application process with confidence. Supporting subsidy applications is far more than preparing documents. It requires understanding the purpose behind an investment, the direction of a customer's business, and the concerns they may have throughout the process.
I believe this approach is closely connected to Komori's Purpose, "Delivering Kando "beyond expectations" by contributing to society with print technology." Providing print technology alone is not enough. Building trusted relationships and ensuring customers feel glad they came to Komori for advice is the first step toward delivering Kando that exceeds their expectations.
The successful approval of a subsidy application is never the result of my efforts alone. It is something achieved through teamwork. With the guidance and support of my managers and colleagues, I have been able to prepare proposals and supporting materials that help customers move forward with confidence.
Because of these experiences, I aspire to be someone both customers and colleagues can rely on --someone who makes people think, "If I have a problem, I'll ask Fukuda." Whether through sales promotion activities, subsidy support, or information sharing, I hope to continue deepening my knowledge and experience so that both customers and colleagues will feel comfortable turning to me for support. By working alongside them to solve challenges together, I hope to become a trusted partner they can always rely on.

Off Time

Outside of work, I enjoy reading and shopping, and whenever I have the opportunity, I love to travel.
Recently, I have become interested in visiting World Heritage sites and have traveled to destinations such as Kyoto, Nara, and Himeji Castle. I also recently joined a trekking tour on Yakushima Island. Spending time surrounded by history and nature provides a refreshing change of pace and helps me recharge for my daily work.

Listening carefully to customers' challenges and helping turn uncertainty into confidence is a common thread throughout Fukuda's work, whether supporting equipment proposals, assisting with subsidy applications, or sharing information through various communication channels. By standing alongside customers as they pursue new opportunities, she continues to bring Komori's Purpose to life through meaningful and practical support.
