10 July 2026

On May 29, 2026, Komori participated in the "Microsoft 365 Copilot Cup 2026" (hereinafter referred to as the "Copilot Cup"), held at the headquarters of Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd.

The Copilot Cup is a competition hosted by Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd. that provides a platform for presenting ideas for business process improvement and successful business transformation initiatives through the use of Microsoft 365 Copilot (hereinafter referred to as the "Copilot"), the company's AI-powered service.

In its third edition, the event brought together 12 companies and educational institutions from across Japan, with entries evaluated by Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd. based on criteria such as practicality, originality, and organizational impact. The event was also streamed online, attracting more than 1,500 registered viewers, reflecting strong interest in Copilot.

Since May 2025, Komori has been promoting the use of Copilot through Office 365 E3 licenses assigned to all PC users, while also providing Copilot licenses with advanced features to selected employees to establish a company-wide utilization framework. In addition, Komori has been supporting employees' use of AI through online seminars, consultation sessions, and a dedicated support website.

Furthermore, in November 2025, the company held an internal competition to generate and evaluate ideas for Copilot utilization. 16 proposals that passed preliminary screenings in each division were evaluated based on novelty, practicality, and effectiveness, and outstanding ideas were recognized. Building on these initiatives, Komori expanded advanced licenses in May 2026 and continues to actively promote AI utilization across the organization.

Representing Komori at this year's Copilot Cup was the Brand Communication Department, which won the Grand Prize in the company's internal Copilot Idea competition. Under the theme "Optimizing Promotional Content Production and Strengthening Brand Value with Copilot," the team presented its initiative to address time and cost challenges in promotional content production by improving workflows through Copilot. Although the team did not receive an award, the judges highly evaluated its practical application of AI in creating design data for printing demonstrations and noted its potential applicability to customers' printing operations as well.

Moving forward, we will continue to actively embrace digital technologies, including AI, to enhance our corporate value and support sustainable growth.
